Additional information

Fine handmade cut-crystal and ormolu cellar with six perfume flasks and their stoppers embellished with geometric and rosette patterns. The gilt bronze rectangular tray is decorated with an admirably crafted frieze. The frieze is intricately carved with typical Restauration motifs of flowered rinceau and swans drinking from a fountain on a matte background. In the center, the forms of two interspaced vases are joined by an arc decorated with a coiling, beaded pattern, which forms a handle. The perfume flasks are nestled into six rings, and the base is supported by four lion paws as feet. Original perfume bottles in very good condition. Very high quality of hand-cut crystal, representative of the Charles X period. Circa 1820-1830.
