Gold and diamond cigarette or card case by Edouard Husson, rectangular shape, decorated with smooth parallel stripes alternating with guilloche stripes creating a play of matte and burnished. The hinged lid is decorated with a rosette and small diamonds. This is framed by a frieze of stylised laurel. This same decoration is found on the perimeter of the case. A pusher set with small diamonds allows the opening of this box. A compartment located on one side of the case opens on a scraper and contained the matches. Circa: 1920.
 Goldsmith Edouard HUSSON active between 1905 and 1925 worked for several famous Houses at the beginning of the 20th century (Boucheron, Sandoz, Tiffany and Vever...). He was renowned for his work as an engraver, chiseller and enameller. His work was favoured by Tiffany & Co. as well as Boucheron. He is listed at two Parisian addresses, 42 rue Sainte Anne and later 29 rue du 4 Septembre.
