Charles X Dance card in mother of pearl, and chiseled gold decorated with foliage. On the main panel, a cartel bears the inscription "souvenir". The notebook has leaflets and closes with the column-shaped gold pencil. On the pencil, a monogram is engraved "A.D" The inside of this notebook contains a secret system allowing to open a compartment where strands of hair are preserved. This notebook, used by women to record who they intended to dance with at balls, is typical of luxury objects sold in the Palais-Royal boutiques in Paris during the French Restoration.
