Piriform perfum flask in amethyst. The body of the bottle is made of a hard stone, the amethyst set in a gold mount with handles chiselled acanthus leaves. Rare in the 18th century, it comes mainly from Brazil. In the 18th century and early 19th century, this stone is very often used in the creation of precious snuffboxes or perfume flask in England and Germany.
