Joseph-Gabriel Rousseau said Gabriel Argy-Rousseau (1885-1952) entered in 1903 at the National School of Ceramics of Sèvres where Albert Dammouse was his teacher. He was eagerly interested in Henri Cros' research on glass paste. He created his own studio at 52 avenue des Ternes in Paris. He exhibited in 1914, at the Salon des Artistes Français. In 1921, he created "Les Pâtes de verre d'Argy-Rousseau" the workshop then had about 30 employees. During the Art Deco period, he made many exceptional pieces. REF: 7782
