Pair of miniature on porcelain depeicting a couple. The woman is wearing a green dress with " gigot" sleeves, a flat belt through which a gold chain has passed. On the shoulders, she wears a lace "canezou" or large lace collar. She is wearing a lace cap and pink bow. The man wears a black frock coat, a white shirt with a green button and a black scarf. The miniature are signed Ribon 1836.
François-Michel Ribon (1790-1836) was a pupil of Baltz and specialized during the Restauration period in portraits on porcelain. The portraits are presented in blackened wooden frames and brass framing.
