Additional information

Gold and enamel needle or wax case decorated with four oval medallions are framed  in a frieze of gold, stylized flowers "paillons" and set on a translucent, royal blue background revealing a criss-cross guilloche. Thin opaque white enamel fillets frame the case. These medallions show young women in late-18th century dresses. Swiss work, Geneva around 1795.
