A French 19th century silver box with its leather case signed Boin-Taburet

A circular silver-gilt box in Louis XVI style engine-turned. The lid centred with a medallion representing two dove on a quiver surrounded by flowers and branches symbols of Love and Hymen. The box has its original leather case lined with dark red velvet and marked 'Boin-Taburet silversmiths 3, rue Pasquier Paris' in ormolu letters.
The jeweler Emile Taburet exposed his work at the 1880 exhibition of the Union Centrale des Arts Decoratifs. He established his official silversmith mark a year later. He created the Boin-Taburet firm around 1880 with the antique dealer Georges Boin.
