Circular box featuring two shades of gold. The removable lid , the sides and the base are embellished with an aventurine glass. This glass is characteristic of Murano's production. Invented in the 17th century, it imitates a precious stone. Fine copper paillons are incorporated into a red glass. A fine forsade of colored gold on a mat amati underlines the composition. Some wears on the glass. Circa 1780.
