Minaudière of oblong shape in enamel on gold. The set is adorned with a black enamel set with diamonds mounted forming wave patterns. The hinged lid opens on a shadow compartment under a beveled mirror. The back of the mirror includes a tablet for writing notes. On the other side, three compartments with fine guilloche patterns of parallel stripes and seedlings of peas open on compartments of which one with lipstick.
A gold pencil is included in the hinge.
The mirror has a few small cracks.
This minaudière is characteristic of Art Deco. Indeed, the function of minaudière appears after the First World War with the development of female cosmetics.
