Rounded brown tortoise-shell box, gold cage frame. The bonbonnière is decorated of circular patterns and fine friezes of floral patterns. Each circular motif and "fleuron" is inlaid with small plates of iridescent mother-of-pearl. Some lack of mother-of-pearl.
D: 2.95in. (7,5 cm)/ H: 1.18in. (3cm).
Gold marks of the 18th century:
Jurande’s mark: Henri Clavel (1781-1783).
Discharge mark: head of cherub (1781-1783).
Charge mark: letter crowned date T: 1783.
Work of the Louis XVI period.
