End of 19th century pair of gilt bronze and porcelain vases.

A large pair of royal blue porcelain ovoid vases with gilt bronze mountings. Each vase has a cartel decorated with a gallant scene, featuring a couple, and influenced by 18th century painting and on the other side a floral composition with bright and shimmering colours. Each cartel is framed by a golden border. The neck, the scroll-shaped handles and the gilt bronze base are finely chiselled. The vases rest on a pedestal decorated with palms and ending on a square base. The gilding is slightly missing.
Work from the end of the 19th century.
