Additional information

A pear-shaped perfume bottle surrounded by a fishnet of wreaths of flowers in relief. The hinged lid, also carved with scrolls and roses, is surmounted by a cherub feeding a pigeon. Two putti resting on a pedestal are applied to the sides of the bottle and appear to be lifting a weight. Identical decoration for the base. 
Master silversmith: Louis Bruneau, LB in a diamond with a feather beak and a dot on top. Inscribed in 1823, crossed out in 1843.
He was one of the few Frenchmen to send works of art to the London exhibition in 1851 (the Duc de Luynes mentions him in his writings).
