A yellow gold rectangular snuffbox with musical mechanism, decorated on all sides with a semi-decoration of ears of corn on a wavy background in chased reserves of foliage or friezes of fleurons partially enamelled blue. This type of flat-wheel mechanism with pins and hands is similar to the work of Daniel Isaac Piguet and Philippe Samuel Meylan, who worked in Geneva from 1811 to 1828 with J.G Remond.
