Additional information

A snuffbox with an oval hinge chiselled on all sides with parallel lines embellished with small pastilles and delimited by a richly worked cordeliere; the whole surrounding on the upper part of the box a central motif representing a stylised fleurt with 6 petals on an amati background. Very fine relief on the frame: alternating 4 pilasters on an amati background delimited by fine braids. Very fine relief on the frame: alternating four pilasters on an amati ground delimited by fine braids. Master goldsmith: BP and 2 grains of remedy for Barthélémy Paviet received in 1781. Paris
Condition: scratches between 3 pastilles on the reverse.
