Additional information

A delicate little round pill box that opens in two parts. The top of the lid and the back of the base are decorated with a meander frieze. A frieze of ovals on an amati background runs around the perimeter of the lid, while a wavy pattern of striations runs around the edge of the base and the centre of the lid.
Marked: 1st cock cockerel facing right, 1798-1809.
Marked: cock head with open beak facing left, 1798-1809.
