Additional information

Small flask in Limoges enamel and silver mounts with its original stopper. All of its surfaces are decorated with figures set in a gallant landscape. On the body, a couple of young lovers dressed in 18th century clothing are dancing. The woman, who is wearing a Polish-style dress, is resting her head on the shoulder of her suitor. On the other side of the flask, another young woman dressed in the same style with the addition of a hat, a basket, and a wreath. On the hinged lid, two women are sitting in the same pastoral decor, and a landscape decorates the underside. Silversmith mark: Paul Piquet. Circa: 1850.
