Circular bonbonnière in brown tortoiseshell and delicately sculpted gold mounting. The removable lid is decorated with a miniature on ivory featuring a distinguished young woman set on a monochrome background. The young woman is seated and is wearing a light blue dress. Her skillfully styled and powdered hair is encircled with a lace decoration. She is holding a small bouquet of roses in her left hand.
