Additional information

A blue opaline perfume bottle with his ball-shaped stopper. The bottle has a decoration on the body framed by two gold nets. The decor consists of a floral frieze characteristic of the decor of the workshop Desvignes. The independent cap is decorated with golden patterns.
The delicate decoration is typical of Jean-Baptiste Desvignes’s 1820’s production. During this time, Jean-Baptiste Desvignes found a way to paint on opaline crystal and glass. He used only vegetable-based colors that he affixed to the opaline crystal. The tones, always matte, were limited to dark blue and red. Circa 1820-1830.
