19th century gilt bronze inkwell and oval porcelain. The inkwell rests on a base in gilded bronze in rocaille style with asymmetrical bases of foliage. The Paris porcelain inkwell features circular medallions decorated with coloured flowers and white enamel pearls. The inkwell has two ink holders with a removable lid in gilt bronze decorated with a floral decoration. By the richness of the decoration, the polychromy of the porcelain, this inkwell is characteristic of the Historicism of the mid-19th century. A few traces of wear on porcelain.
