Additional information

A sculpture in patinated and gilded bronze depicting Cupid, a winged figure, his bow in his left hand, his quiver strapped to his side, picking up his arrow with one knee on the ground. He has a very gentle gaze into the distance, as if looking at his target. He is dressed in a drapery that forms a beautiful wave-like movement on the oval floor, which is bordered by a gilded bronze ring. The whole rests on a rectangular porphyry base raised by four ball feet linked by a frieze of water leaves. Late 18th-early 19th century work.
