Additional information

Le Creusot crystal "drageoir" set in a silver frame with its removable lid edged with a frieze of pearls and topped with a crown forming the socket. The body is cut in the shape of a diamond point with alternating flower and leaf motifs. The handles, which extend to the base, are adorned with acanthus leaves and palmettes and end in rooster scrolls. The ensemble rests on a stepped square base raised by four ball feet. Circa: 1820-1830.
