This snuffbox is characteristic of the objects of feelings of the beginning of the 19th century. Master goldsmith Louis Tronquoy. Restauration, circa 1820-1840.

Louis- François Tronquoy, son of Jean-François Tronquoy and Louise Ferdinande Morin, was born on 20th May 1798 at 639 rue des 4 vents in Paris. On 4th January 1827, he was registered at  8 rue des Prouvaires, probably taking over the business and premises of goldsmith Simon-Achille Léger.
