Additional information

A silver and vermeil pendant adorned with a rectangular cut-side miniature on ivory. The 18th-century-style miniature depicts a young shepherdess and a cherub in a landscape. The miniature is set in a silver frame set with half-pearls. This composition is surmounted by a bow decorated with quiver motifs and finished with a pearl. Presented in a case inscribed "Bijoux anciens, E.Taburet, rue Pasquier 3, Paris". Napoleon III, period. Circa 1860-1870.

Emile Taburet, jeweler, joined forces in 1860 with Georges Boin, who began his career as a goldsmith and dealer in antiques. The company, founded under their two names, excelled in jewelry and display objects. It exhibited for the first time at the 1878 Exposition Universelle, winning a bronze medal for a toilet service inspired by Pierre Germain.
