Oval hinged snuffbox entirely lined with gold.The box is streaked all over with yellow and green gold strips and is bordered by a magnificent band with stylised scrolls and flowers.The lid is surmounted by an oval medallion, also surrounded by a gold band, representing a putti in blue Roman dress preparing an offering under the gaze of an angelo with spread wings.This scene brings a naivety to the subject in accordance with the sensibility of the time.
