Inkwell in gilded and patinated bronze consisting of a rectangular base covered with a lid surmounted by a sculpture in patinated bronze depicting a lion dog holding between its teeth a mail fold.
The base is finely chiseled with decorative palmette patterns. The inkwell has two inkwells and two pen holders.
