Rare white opaline clock with chiseled ormolu mount featuring two entwined dolphins. Their tails support the spherical upper part in fluted white opaline, which accommodates a gilt bronze dial with Roman numerals embellished with a frieze and a medallion of flowers. Dolphins lie on the oval body with vertical fluting. The whole rests on a gilt bronze base adorned with a frieze of palmettes and supported by four claw feet. Revised wire suspension mechanism. Charles X period.
In good overall condition; discrete cracks under the bronze dial. The mechanism has been cleaned, serviced and is in working order.
