Three-gold chatelaine (yellow, green and pink) featuring a hook decorated with a medallion featuring fine guilloche and semi-dots and chased motifs in a frame of vegetal frieze on an amati gold background, a central medallion adorned with a rosette of foliage on an amati gold background and charms. The medallions are linked by finely wrought chains decorated with flowers and geometric motifs. This chatelaine illustrates the taste for historicism that developed in the second half of the 19th century, characterized by a return to the styles of the past. 
Gold hallmark on the chatelaine: eagle's head.
Gold hallmark on the egg: monkey or dog head, 1774-1780.
Master goldsmith's hallmark: Faucon Louis insculpted in 1860.
