Additional information

Blown crystal ewer cut with twisted ribs, mounted in a silver frame. The crystal is engraved with floral motifs. The neck of the ewer is finely worked with lattice, rocaille and floral motifs. The spout is closed by a lid whose grip is adorned with a floral motif in relief. The scalloped handle is openwork. The base features rocaille and floral motifs and openwork latticework. Master goldsmith: Ernie (guêtre symbol), successor Saglié. Circa:1880-1890.
This ewer can be set with a pair of ewers by the same master silversmith.
