Enquire about this Item
Oval snuffbox in three tones of gold (yellow, green and pink gold). The hinged lid is decorated with a medallion with a country trophy framed by a garland of leaves and roses. It is set against a guilloche pattern of waves. The edges of the lid and the frame are decorated with a frieze of interlacing in yellow and green gold, set against a gold background. Four rectangular panels underlined by a frieze of laurel garlands make up the bate. Between these panels, pilasters decorated with laurel leaves give rhythm to the composition. The bottom of the snuffbox has the same finely chiselled decoration with wavelet guilloche. Some traces of wear.
